So this happened.... The Twisting of Little Aardvark...

When I initially created the plans it was sorta a build it as we go kinda thing… I decided to just cut all the wood pieces the same size… the trailer being square etc... and everything would work out just fine. After all, an RV is a very mobile shakey movement-oriented kinda thing. So it stood to reason that it would be just fine.
In short, I was wrong seeing that the trailer frame *the wooden part* was twisted or warped or whatever I knew that I had to cut it on three sides and straighten it… that wasn’t going to be fun.. .but I did it and I used a chain, a tree, a cargo tie-down, a little hook, and some ingenuity to get it to try and square up… it worked and I then made a block for one corner to try and help it keep its shape with the back wall… the next step would be to block off all the corners, glue it back together, and then shave off the excess and then fiberglass over the whole straightened structure.
Of course, this process won’t exactly look pretty but its where I am right now… I include some pictures below...

You can see where the wall was cut.

Mahogany Bookcase

For lack of a better term I have decided to call it the mahogany book case. it will also be a place to put drinks and a cute mini bar near the entrance as well as a place for books and objets d'art.

Squeezing a Full Size Bed into the Space

One of the things that I wanted to deemphasize was the placement of the bed. Too many Recreational Vehicles feature the beds taking up so much room, and I wasn't a fan. I also didn't want to give up the comfort of a large plush mattress so I've been looking at clever ways to shoehorn one in the available room so I've made some renderings of those ideas.

What a Full Size (75L x 54W) Mattress would look like in the space.

Entry Door

Layout is something that I have looked at on lots of other RV builds and I decided for the rear entry door instead of the side entry. Usually in my opinion the reason for the side entry is that they want to put a bed or a dinette at one end of a small trailer.

The Concept was to be a Fiberglass panel with wooden frame.
I opted to sorta be inspired by the floor-plan of the airstream Basecamp trailers. which use a rear entry design.

I then made a simple placeholder door to occupy space and keep things sealed up while waiting for the real door.
